Interview – GODFESTER (Thailand)
Thailand Grindcore is great as fuck! GODFESTER is grinding from Bangkok and they’re amazing! The band has released demo entitled “Capitalism” in both format; Pro-Tape (July 2017) and CD (April 2018) through Doom Order Production. Now we have a discussion with the band. – Interview by Harshziqr [26.09.2018]
Tell us the history of Godfester in brief, and also introduce band lineup?
Godfester formed in 2016, lineup have Chatchai (Vocal), Kowit (Vocal), Sontidate (Drums), Pongsawit (Guitar).
Please define your Grindcore musicstyle and some of the band influences?
We have blast beat not much. Someone called and defined my band Fast Hardcore style, but Godfester is Godfester. We play Grindcore in our style. We not have specifically influences, we love Grindcore and everything between about that. We receive influence about DIY attitude and we respect all DIY Grindcore bands. We like to spoke about dark side in social, in my country, in my world. Included something, everyone can see it or not.
How do your songs get written? Did it take a long time to compose a track?
Not long, bro. If we have something and want to tell it, we will talking in my band about that, and doing riff guitar and jamming with drums in rehearsal room, after that we will write lyrics.
Explain further about your demo release “Capitalism”? Do you satisfied?
Yeah, it cool and satisfied for me. It have 10 songs, first we doing it on limited tape format 100 copies, under label Doom Order Productions, it’s label of our guitarist. And next after sold out, we doing it again on Pro Cd-r format 100 copies. Yes, it still available but nearly sold out.
Godfester also released a Promo 2016 tape right?
We release first free promo 2016 on Cd-r limited 30 copies at our first show opening act “Magrudergrind” live in Bangkok. And again in free limited tape at “Annihilate Destroy Fest 2016”.
What will be the future plans and next releases?
Now not have a plan, haha.
Please describe Godfester while on stage? Memorable shows ever?
We ever have show 4-5 guy joined with us. We ever have show many people stand and run in front of us. Every show is good memorial.

Interview – MUNTAH DARAH (Malaysia)
MUNTAH DARAH is no more a young band. Formed back in October 2010, they are here in the scene for about 8 years by now, and getting matured with time. The band has vomitted 3 essential releases so far; “Pemerintah Durjana” demo, “Operasi Bangkai” Split CD, and the sought-after “From Bastard To Bastard” MCD. It’s great to hear that they are now working on the new EP. Hello! Any recent news to share about your band Muntah Darah?
Hello Fast As Fuck zine!! Thanks for having us in your zine. We’re currently working on our new EP and hopefully it will be released end of this year. We’re also gonna play a local metal gig this September and also for PROGIG Borneo in December.
What inspired you to form Muntah Darah, and who’s the current band lineup?
Our inspiration for making this band happened when touring bands such as Damokis (MAL), Rajasinga (IND), Wormrot (SG) played here in Sabah. We were blown with their energy, intensity and fastness during their live performance. As soon as we saw that, we decided to make a grindcore band. Muntah Darah first line up is Wan (Vox), Hery (Guitar), Basri (Bass), and Jerry (Drums). After 5 years of slow progression, we decided to play as a 3 piece band with Wan (Vox), Basri (Guitars) and Jerry (Drums).
How do you define your music, and name some of the bands that really influenced Muntah Darah?
We just play straight forward grindcore with a bit of punk and hardcore influences. Our influences are band such as Napalm Death (old), Nasum, Phobia, Rotten Sound, Magrudergrind and a lot more.
What were written and expressed within your lyrics?
Our lyrics are basically about social issues, corruption, oppression, abuse of power, war and genocide, life experiences.
Tell us in details about your recordings and releases so far?
- 2011: Pemerintah Durjana Demo (Recorded at BMT Studio, Mix and Mastered by BMT Studio). Self-released demo and limited to 50 copies only.
- 2012: Operasi Bangkai Split CD (Tracks taken from our Pemerintah Durjana Demo). Split CD with Ipoh Grindkotor, Bahajang.
- 2013: From Bastard to Bastard MCD (Recorded at BMT Studio, Mix by BMT Studio, Mastered by Agigi Bob). Mini Album released by Grundar Production. Shout out to Mr. Prop from Grundar Production for helping us a lot with the MCD releases!!
For this upcoming EP, we’re going to record at Route33 studio and it will be engineered by Mr. Tajul Andez aka TJ. Hopefully it will run smoothly and successfully.
Do you play gigs oftenly? Any memorable and best shows ever?
We’re currently not very active in playing gigs due to other commitments such as family and works. But we were very active in 2012 and 2013. Hopefully after this new EP released, we’ll be more active like before. The most memorable shows we ever played was during the Grundar Production tour in 2013. We learned a lot during the tour because we are the youngest band that join the tour. The best shows we ever played is Sabah Death Fest 1 and Tribute to Nirvana gig.
Would you like to share something about the grindcore / gore / deathgrind scene in Malaysia?
In our opinion, the grindcore scene here is very healthy and growing. A lot of younger kids are getting interested in grindcore and started to form a band. Hopefully they will become very active and start to release physical materials. There’s a lot of good grindcore bands in Malaysia such as Tools Of The Trade, Compulsion to Kill, Rotgut, Kasrakass, Unadulterated Parasites and a lot more. Recently, Tools Of The Trade from Malaysia toured Europe and they also played in Obscene Extreme Festival. Do check them out if you haven’t yet!! They’re fucking tight live!!

Interview – TUSSOCK (Malaysia)
TUSSOCK is not new in Malaysia’s Grindcore scene in which was formed in late 1999 in Muar, a district in a state of Johor. The band kicked ass with their debut EP “Out Of Rhyme” back in 2003. Later with “Devastation Of Nuclear Proliferation” Demo 2011 and recently returned with new material “Grind Is Raw And Politician Is Shit!” Demo 2018. They have also participated in compilations such as Johor Hardcore Compilation, Bebas Compilation Volume #One, A Blasting of Malaysian DeathXGrind Companion, just to name a few. Do you have any latest news to share about your band Tussock?
Hi there. I am Fadzee I played guitar in Tussock to answer your question. Yes, Tussock just released demo called “Grindcore is raw and politician is shit”. It’s contain 6 tracks pure raw and harsh grindcore, 2 cover songs from Agathocles and The Bollocks and also 1 song ‘Blood Soil’ taken from compilation “A Blasting of Malaysian DeathXGrind Companion”. Released in digital version and CDR format and we also have shirt coming out, so check out our FB page for updated.
What encouraged you to form Tussock, and who’s who in the band currently?
I was 2nd generation of Tussock and former member are Acad and 2 others Bujal and Hafiz and they all no longer with Tussock. But personally what encouraged me to join / continue Tussock because of the sound of Grindcore itself, the sick of the music and the scene. Current band member are Fadzee (guitar), Adon (drums), and Akhmal (vocal).
How do you describe your music, and where most of the influences come from?
Tussock playing old school grindcore with punk and hardcore elements in it. Band that influence us most are Assuck, Nasum, Phobia, Brutal Truth, Agathocles, Parkinson, Spazz, Finger Print, and Total Fucking Destruction.
What are you talking about through your lyrics?
Tussock lyrics mostly talking about politics, social issue, personal matter. Sometime we like to talk about shit hahaha!

Do you play gigs frequently? Any memorable and best shows ever?
Yes, Tussock have play gig but not to frequently as past time due to our commitment to family and job. Maybe one or two shows in a year. All gig we participated was memorable but most memorable and the best shows ever went Tussock performed with Needful Things and Overviolence at The Walls, Batu Pahat in 2017 where their on ASIA tour.
Would you like to share something about the grindcore scene in Malaysia?
Yeah, Malaysia got tone of good grindcore / death / crust band and its growing every days. Just name a few, the king Tool Of The Trade just finish their Europe tour. Diseksa with their new release, Perpetual, Muntah Darah sabahan grinder, Bahajang, Tersanjung13, CTK, Vormit, Karrak, Kasrakass, etc.

DEMISOR need no introduction, especially when you’re talking about the South East Asia’s extreme underground music scene. They have been existed since the late 80’s. This is totally killer Grindcore from Singapore the Lion City. The band that is fuckin’ heavy, violent and got plenty of catchiness. They’re here to grind till they get old. It’s amazing that Demisor still active after more than 30 years. How do you see the band existence within this 3 decades?
Hello! Well throughout our existence, we see it as a form of pure brotherhood of musicians whom are all dedicated in progressing more grind ideas unto the next level.
Do you think that the band evolve a lot musically, or still playing the same old grind shit since the beginning?
Like I said earlier, we all do progress and evolving as the times goes by. To play same old grind is absolutely great but that doesn’t make us feel satisfied. We need more ideas in all aspects of grind in the grindcore arena. Life is all about learning and Demisor is still learning new things and will continue to learn as far as we can go.
Share with us your thoughts on some of the band’s most essential releases?
The first reh/demo is the catalyst to what we are now. No doubt it sounds noisy or sexual to most of the listeners. Somehow it rather drive us unto the next level for the second reh/demo which is much audible and songwriting are far better. Next is also our first 7" ep split with CSSO. It also leapfrog our whole crust/grind ideas to the masses. Also worth mentioning our split tape with Necrotic Chaos. It delivers well and made us being accepted by the metal Hordes in the Malaysian scene.
How long do you expect Demisor to stay active? Any great plans for the near future?
Well we all don’t have an expiry date on when Demisor will cease it’s grind works. As far as we’re concerned, so long as our ideas are flowing. Demisor noisecamp will still be around. We’re currently in the works for our new album. Massive grind and guitar works is being injected to it... So be prepared for the next grindcore audio dismemberment!
How much do your lyrics affect the listener and life?
Well, I do have people telling me on how they like our songs but lyrically? No feedbacks on that actually... Hahaha... But it does makes me happy knowing someone whom had found an outrage channel when listening to our songs. Knowing him to be an introvert and deeply depressed. It helps him to let it all out by listening to our grindworks. He thanked me for that and such small appreciation boosts us to achieve even more and work harder to produce more materials.
Have you ever played outside of Singapore, I mean touring worldwide, etc?
Yes we did. Mostly South East Asia region and the furthest we did went to is Czech Republic for the Obscene Extreme in 2012.
What’s your viewpoint on current grindcore scene, especially in your country?
Well I’m not a grindcore analyst expert kinda guy as to know what is happening in the current scene but all I can say is that there are indeed alot of bands now compared to the past. Their grindworks are also superb and their sound is amazingly awesome. Hmmm... In Singapore, when it comes to grindcore, the only name that will be in everybody’s mind is definitely Wormrot. No doubt they are now Singapore’s very own grindcore champions but honestly there are few good bands here that are still alive and kickin’. Fallen World, Volition, Desecration, Con-formed just to name a few. Check em out aite!

Interview – COMMIT ARSON (Philippines)
Grindcore from Quezon City Philippines, COMMIT ARSON formed by officemates Jeff and Froi in early 2012. They recruited JP (a drummer from deathmetal band called Lycanthra) and Gwain (former guitarist of Brutal Punishment) to complete the first lineup of Commit Arson. The band started playing local gigs from November 2013 and recorded & released a six-track self-titled demo in March 2014. Hi Commit Arson! Introduce us the band history and band members?
Hello there! We’re Commit Arson from the Philippines and the current members are Jeff on vocals, Froi on Bass and Bergs on drums. We’re planning to add a guitarist really soon but we’ve been playing as a 3-piece drum & bass for a while now since the departure of our last guitarist.
A little bit on the history, me and Froi started CxA sometime around early 2012 I think. We work on the same company and upon knowing that Froi is into punk, grind and those kinda stuff I asked him to form a band with me since I don’t play any instrument. He agreed then we looked for a drummer and a guitarist, it all started there.
What sort of Grindcore you guys played and the influences in writing music?
We’ve been playing traditional grindcore with crust/d-beat and hardcore elements since we started. There’s been a number of lineup changes within the band and all those people have influences of their own so we tried to incorporate several sounds thru the years based on that but the end result should always be grindcore.
How many releases you have so far, and give details on some of the most important releases to the band?
To list the releases so far:

We’ve been in a long semi hiatus so we haven’t recorded a lot of stuff but we’ve started working on an EP recently, we have now 12 tracks that we just need to record. I expect it to be done this year (hopefully).
What are your lyrics all about?
Mostly political and social issues that are happening around us. Everyday human struggles that I’ve seen from others or based on personal experiences.
Does Commit Arson active in playing gigs? What were some of the best shows?
Yes we do play gigs, we just don’t do it that much, maybe one or two shows in three months or something along those lines. For me the most memorable experience was of course all the shows during our first ever tour in 2014. We played one show in Singapore and two shows in Malaysia. All were great, met a lot of new friends and to see and meet the bands that I’ve been listening to personally is amazing.
Tell us something about Grindcore music scene in Philippines?
The punk scene here is amazing and alive. But I can’t say there’s a grindcore scene here. There are grindcore/powerviolence bands yes but there’s no dedicated grindcore scene. We play togethere with them punxx.

Interview – MIERDA HUMANA (Peru)
Noisecore since 1990! MIERDA HUMANA is a band you should look into, and they’re from Lima, Peru. Started as a noise project, the band returned to the scene in 2013, and released full-length "Nulidad Existencial" CD 2014 through Bulla Extrema Records. They also have some splits and compilations, and the latest one is split 3” CDR with SEBUM EXCESS PRODUCTION (Goregrindnoise from Brazil) released through Old Grindered Days Records. What was the main purpose to form Mierda Humana back in 1990? Band members remain the same since the beginning? Who are the current lineup?
This band in the beginning was a experimental noise project with others we make with Jhon Cruz in 1990. We plans to make a adifferent forms of noisecore and was only vocals (2). When I reactive Mierda Humana as a band since 2013 with other member (Kenneth) we play usual instruments (vocals / guitar / drums).

We make the tracks at the moment we play / recording our sessions during approximate 30 minutes or 1 hour approx.
How many releases you have so far? What are few titles that really essential to the band?
About our material we have 1 demo, 6 splits, 1 CD album, also coming a full album in tape format, Split CDR, Split tape and a full 7” lathe cut. For us all are great.
What are the themes and messages lies within your lyrics?
The lyrics are focussed into nihilism, pessimism, surrealism, hate and chaos.
Do you play gigs oftenly? What were among the memorable shows ever?
At the moment we never play live.

Here don’t exists a scene, only are bands play some styles but by her side.

Interview – SYSTEM DESTROYER (Argentina)
SYSTEM DESTROYER is the name for a one-man grindcore band from Salta, Argentina. After participating in several compilation releases including Bestial Noise Compilation, The Sound of X 3, and 1, 2, 3, 4, BLAST!, the band released a very interesting full-length entitled “Dying” in June 2018. Introduce us about System Destroyer, the band history and lineup?
First, greetings to you and all the bastards who are devouring the pages of Fast As Fuck fanzine. I’m Angel, the only member and founder of System Destroyer. It’s a D.I.Y one-man grindcore band you know… I’m from Salta, a filthy urban located in the north of Argentina. I started this shit in 2011 under the name of Anal Abort. But after recording some demos, eps and splits as Anal Abort I decided to change the name of the band to the current one in 2016.
Please define your music style and the trademark of System Destroyer if any?
System Destroyer is grindcore, completely influenced by the primitive, raw and dirty sound of the old school.
What encourage you to really into grindcore music?
Well… mainly because I love grindcore, I love blast beat. I listen to different music styles but grindcore is my favourite one par excellence. The feeling I get from listening grindcore isn’t caused by any other style. It’s total ear destruction fella!
Please talk further about your release entitled “Dying”, the tracks recording and distribution?
Dying was recorded at the end of 2017. I recorded the guitars, the bass, the vocals and I have even programmed the drums too. I also did the mixing as well as the art cover, all in a fucking simple PC that I have in my room. The title “Dying” refers to this moribund and decomposed system which is destined to end in any moment. Right now it is only available online for free download for any grind maniac, but I will make physical copies soon.
Do you plans for more compilations and splits?
Yes, I am de-composing new noises for a new split, it will possible be edited at the end of this year.
What themes and messages written within the lyrics?
The themes of the lyrics are associated to social issues. I do not pretend to give a message; I just try to shape my critical point of view and my disgust for different aspects of the shitty system in which we live in. For example in “Dying” I talk about media manipulation, injustices, human defects, slavery, parasitism.
How does the brutal / extreme / noise music scene look like in your homeground?
My country has a good extreme scene, but unfortunately in my town there is a shortage of grindcore, crust, d-beat, noise bands.

Interview – INSUFFERABLE (UK)
Here we have INSUFFERABLE, Noisy Grind Hell from Rosyth, Scotland (UK). If you visit their Bandcamp, you'll find that the band has put out few excellent releases in this year; Agony (Feb 2018), Avoid At All Costs (Mar 2018), Beyond Reach (Apr 2018), and the recent one Improvised Grind Device (Jul 2018). This is a worth-checking band! The following conversation answered by Nick Waller (vocals/guitar). – Interview by Harshziqr [25.07.2018]
When and how did the band Insufferable get formed? Introduce us the band members?
Insufferable started back in 2015 and was originally a one man noise project, then towards the end of 2016 I asked Matty, the drummer, if he wanted to get together and jam. I had performed with him in Deathwank a few times and my guitar had just been sitting collecting dust, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try something different. Bobby King plays drums for Insufferable on occasion, I’m working on recording something with him. Tony played bass on our latest release, I’m working on getting him to play a gig with us. To get all four in the same room and do something as a “real band” would be cool but we’ll see how it goes.
I thought you guys have a good music. How do you describe your sound, and any bands that influenced you?
Thanks man! I’m not sure, I guess I would describe it as a raw, primitive, noisy grindcore kind of sound. I can’t speak for the rest of the guys but I’ve been influenced by bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Black Flag, Trash Talk, Cro-Mags and Iron Lung. Not necessarily the sounds of all of those bands, their work ethic and the way they carry/carried themselves have certainly had an influence on me as well.
Please further explain about the releases you put out so far? How do you see the band evolved, musically?
We had a few EPs, some live albums, and loads of splits (which will be rereleased at some point) out before we recorded and released Agony, which is where I feel we started to introduce slightly more structure than there had been on anything previously released, but it was still very chaotic. Avoid At All Costs kind of continued that but we tried to be a little more out there and try some different, weirder things. Beyond Reach was the release where I felt we kind of started to write “songs”. The band had taken some time off and I had started messing around with my guitar again, wrote out and structured the songs. Improvised Grind Device is kind of a melding of everything, songs slightly longer and more structured, stop-start style similar to earlier releases, a couple of 1 second tracks. I feel as though we’re the most comfortable we’ve ever been, playing the tightest we’ve ever played and at a place where we have our own sound, which is pretty cool.
What were written within your lyrics?
Most people don’t think we have lyrics! But we do. I’ve just become more private with them and don’t post them on the Bandcamp page any more. I tend to write autobiographically most of the time but there’s very little filter on what influences an Insufferable track, a bad relationship, struggling with anxiety, or a great horror movie. The track Tooth and Nail on the latest release is about having to fight and claw to get myself to where I am today, which was an uphill battle, if I wasn’t getting in my own way then other people were making life difficult. Some tracks I can pour my heart out into lyrically, others are just fun to write. For example, I recently wrote a track about Michael Myers from Halloween that we recorded called “The Shape” that I’m looking forward to releasing in October.
Do you play in gigs oftenly? What were among the memorable shows ever?
As often as we can, if we can get the time off work. There’s been a few that were memorable! I always remember when we played in Aberdeen because we had a couple of mental encounters before the gig, and the shenanigans that occurred after. Our friend Mathew from Gay Panic Defence said we made him feel sick that night. The night we played Bannermans in Edinburgh was pretty awesome. I had just went through a shitty break-up and ended up having a great time, that was probably the most merch we’ve ever sold at a gig as well. Both times we’ve played Dundee have been great as well, both gigs had quite a varied line-up which made it more interesting. Those are the four that stick out in my head at the moment.
Share something about the music/underground scene in your homeland?
It’s very interesting. You can find some really cool, weird bands if you look in the right places. VFLAMBDA, Snuff Funs, Gay Panic Defence, The Manky Hoors, Wheelchair x4 are just a few I know. Kingpin, Scumpulse, Endless Swarm are another couple of bands who have had a bit more exposure but are still very much a part of the scene.
What do you expect about Insufferable in the future?

Hello. What made you decide to form Kasrakass and chose to play Grindcore?
Hi Fast as Fuck Zine. Thanks for giving us a chance to share our words in your charismatic zine movement. We choose grindcore due to the concept and all kinds of term that relates to it. Intense, fast, wild, short, compact and to be straight forward minded. These elements are so relevant to our own surroundings, our past lives, the way we react to a distress situation and human thoughts. Well basically, we are trying to express our inner thoughts with a mission to make changes in human mentality.
What are your major influences in writing your music?
Mentality awareness. We believe that poor judgement and greed are the predominant causes that lead to any kind of destruction. Society must think excessively.
How was the response received for your debut “Self Destruction”? Do you satisfied?
We should not be easily satisfied I guess. However, as a starting point, it is well accepted. Only left with a few copies of the cassette. With that release, we’ve been invited to play for quite a number of shows. Big applause to everyone that has supported us so far, we wont stop, yet. Ahaa
Heard that you’re going to release new EP “Critical Pressure”, latest info about it?
Critical Pressure will be released soon. Recorded and mixed. Now we are working on the final touch of the layout, pressing and releasing stage.
Any differences or evolvement musically in new songs compared to the old ones?
This release will be continuity from the previous. Maintaining the bless of old school Napalm – scum grindcore, blended with a minor changes on the riffs structure, and a more intense vocals tracking. Let the listener be the judge then.
How much do your lyrics affect the listener and life?
There is no exact answer for this question as we should not judge any human being. Our mission is to spread ideas, admonished and to trigger listeners to think about certain propagandas. Not everybody would adapt and adopt to any ideas wisely, for sure. But anyway, theres a bunch of pure GRINDERS out there that we haven’t reach yet!
What are your opinions about grindcore scene in Malaysia? Fave local bands?
Grindcore in Malaysia is a huge scene, and well supportive. Lots of grind bands embarked on a tour, locally and overseas, with or without support from labels; releasing all kind of stuffs regularly, with easy access to it; monthly if not 2-3 months once grind shows I would say, with local and international bands, and everybody I met in this scene is sincere but heavy, in all the good way. Favourite local bands: Tools Of The Trade, Compulsion To Kill, Unholy Smokers, Rotgut, S.M.G, Daighila, Negation, Hatred Division, Parkinson, Shitnoise Bastards, Badass Farmers, Sevencollar Tshirt and Deepset.

Hello Maggot Bath. Your music sounds unique. Please further define your musicstyle and what are some of the bands that really inspired you?
Our music style is predominantly driven by influences from the sludge & power violence genres. When the band members come together, we bring an eclectic listening background to the table and then mush it together to create what you can hear in our tracks. It would be too difficult to name all of our influences, but here are bands that we aspire to when we come together and play; Eyehategod, Spazz, Endless Swarm, Electric Wizard, and Blood Duster as an influence!
Could you please share a bit about your band history and the lineup?
The band started up in 2015, when a couple of the members from “She Beast” decided to approach the guitarist from “The High Drifters” to start something up a little bit different. We all seemed to like what we were producing, and it was in 2018 when we added a full time vocalist who also performs in “Mindrippa”.
I think you have produced a lot of Demos, EPs, etc. Tell us some of the most recent releases and the essential ones?
One of the unique things we do, which we kind of just fell across through song writing, was produce short EPs that are film/movie based. These EPs usually consist of about 4-6 tracks and concentrate on our favourite horror films. We are laid back guys and enjoy a good laugh, so most of our other stuff (closer to full length) is just our inner child coming out. This is pretty evident through the track titles. Our first full length, which is self titled, is probably the pick of the bunch. As for the film-based EPs, “Porkins” / “Deadite” are worth a listen.
What kind of themes and messages written in your lyrics?
This is a tough question! As previously mentioned, we are pretty laid back and don’t take things too seriously. So a lot of our lyrics and themes could be thought of by a 6 year old. Yeah, let’s go with that! We are essentially 6 year old children in adult bodies!. The film-based EPs are self-explanatory. A lot of these lyrics are derived by the direction of the plot in those films, as well as the track names.
Do you play gigs frequently? Most memorable and best shows if any?
We play gigs as often as possible given our other commitments. We envisage a big string of shows coming up later in the year. Our most memorable shows are ones we performed with a local band “True Defective” throughout Melbourne venues during 2017, in addition we played at the Bendigo Punk & Heavy Fest, as well as most recently with “Abu Ghraib”.
How do you see the current underground music scene in Melbourne, Australia?
We feel pretty good about the Melbourne underground music scene. Whilst we have seen some great venues close (or come close to closing…) over the years, those that are still around have a great following and community surrounding them.
What are the future plans and your hopes for Maggot Bath?
Maggot Bath is heading in to the studio in August. From that, we hope to release a number of splits with international/local bands that we really admire and would love to collaborate with.

When and how Weedeous Mincer get started? Who’s the band lineup?
Hey! WxM is started by me as a diy home mincecore project. And I am only one regular member. First record was made in Kaliningrad in 2014 but real start of WxM is 2016 in Saint-Petersburg. 12 releases in 2 years I record here, and lot of varoius peoples take a part in WxM releases.
Tell us more about your musicstyle and the band influences?
Mainly its mincecore.
What are some of your most essential releases in the band’s discography?
“Brain Devoured By Mincegore” of course and “Mincecore Poison” just for me.
Let us know further about your latest release and the future plans?
I don’t know, really, hah, every WxM release appears like a cops when you smoke weed at the streets. I don’t want to stop at the moment that’s all my plans.
What are the main themes and messages in your lyrics?
WxM is mixing of old school social way punk lyrics and modern trolling. I totally support anarchism, antifascism and diy movement.
Do you play gigs oftenly? The memorable shows ever?
0 gigs played at the moment. I don’t know now, possible it, or not.
How do you see the underground music scene in your area, Saint Petersburg?
Better then in Moscow ahahahaha!

Young and so fuckin’ dangerous! BoXtak is undoubtedly among the best new generation in Sabah (Malaysia) grind scene. Consisted of Adli (drum), Angah (bass), Pagek (vocal) and Acit (guitar), they played raw and noisy Grindcore in this 5-track untitled / self-titled Demo. The CD started with an intro, the band then exploded with 4 fast and short tracks including ‘False Grind Sodomy’, a cover of Singapore’s Wormrot. This CD is the re-issued version released by Blazt Promotion, limited to 25 copies only! Proud to mention that I did the art on the front cover. Check it out, it grinds until you lose your mind!

Please share a bit about Bangkok Anarchy band history and the lineup?
Hello everybody & Fast As Fuck Fanzine. Bangkok Anarchy is the name for a grindcore band come from Thailand. The band has been set up in year 2010, playing Primitive Grindcore music, with the lineup consisted of Areriff (vocal/bass), Aeekaphol (drum), and Suwat (guitar).
Describe further about your music style and the band influences?
I hate to something that are not fight in Thailand society. I’m listening to old grindcore musick.
How many releases you have so far, and give details on your latest release?
We released “Anarchy in BKK” Demo 2010, limited 30-60 copies in DIY CDr format. In 2013, Bangkok Anarchy split with Shitnoise Bastards, noisegrind band from Malaysia. The split title is “Supersonic Noise Grindcore split” CDr released by DIY Attack Mini Distro (label from Malaysia).
What are your lyrics about?
Our lyrics are about social and environmental damages.
Do you play gigs oftenly? The best shows ever?
For us, all shows are the best!
What are your future plans and next releases?
This year dude! Yes, this year 2018 we will release a new EP.
Tell us something about the grindcore scene in Bangkok, Thailand?
All bands are playing punk, d-beat, goregrind, death, black metal, thrash except Bangkok Anarchy the only band into pure Grindcore musick!

Interview – BADAK MILITIA (Indonesia)
Jember is a regency of East Java province, Indonesia. There is a grind duo called themselves as BADAK MILITIA. The band released “Sabotage” EP 2016, split tape with MONEY HATER, participated in Skull Dungeon Cacofonia Compilation (Italy, 2016) and Born To Kill Compilation (Colombia, 2016), and the recent one was “6 Way To Grindzone” (Brazil, 2017). Why the band named as Badak Militia? Share with us in brief about band history and the lineup?
Badak Militia is a grindcore band from Jember, a city in East Java of Indonesia. The band was formed in December 2013 in University of Muhammadiyah Jember. First members consisted of me, Dimas (guitar/vocal) and Faizin (drum). The name Badak Militia is just for fun. We want to have a name that is rebel and cool so that it crossed in my mind. Badak (which is Rhinoceros in English) is a strong animal and Militia is militant, because underground always militant. That’s why I use the name Badak Militia.
How do you define your music and sound? What bands really influence you?
Badak Militia plays Grindcore to be precise, with influences from Nasum, Wormrot, Rajasinga, Noxa, Repulsion, Unholy Grave, Final Exit, Test, Sete Star Sept, Penis Geyser, Wolfbrigade, Wolfpack, Disclose, Magrudergrind, Napalm Death, Agathocles, Charles Bronson, Infest, Sordo, Terrorizer, Viscera Infest, and Snail Cunt. For me personally, music is art and I like art especially traditional music, music as unifier, music as media for where I can work and pour out my heart, to protest against fascists and racist, because I love peace, difference is not human reason humanize human.
Tell us some of your previous releases, and further details on the latest one?
Well, our latest release is the EP “Sabotage” with 6 tracks included. It’s D.I.Y recordings, and was the first release by Babi Marah Records from Jakarta, Indonesia. We also have splits and joined some compilations, and some were released outside of Indonesia. The last split we did in 2017 “6 Way To Grindzone” which also featuring Rusga!, What I Want, SxFxC, Wakk Thuu, and Darah Perawan. This 6-way split was released by Rusga! in Brazil. Also for your information, our first split was with Money Hater from the USA entitled “Extinction For Profit?!”.
What are you guys talking about through your lyrics?
We can only minimize capitalism and can not fight, most anti make us imprisoned in hypocrisy, I live in a fertile village without any system of destruction, more to reality. Thus, our lyrics are about protest and social critics, not for hypocrite fuck off!
Do you active in playing gigs? Best shows ever played?
Badak Militia is taking a break from the beginning of January 2018 until now because the personnel have busy working and we are not looking for foods by playing music, but still relax and walk to work on our second album. Anyway Badak Militia can tour in Java.
What’s great about the grind music scene in your homeground?
In my town (Jember), Grindcore and all other genres are under unity, and we are in antifa zone.
Future plans and your hopes for Badak Militia?
I hope we can make more music about media propaganda and social critics, record and release more albums, and just happy with our friends and friendship.

MENTOR GRIND – La Maldad
This is truly fast as fuck! Mentor Grind combined grindcore and deathmetal at its finest definition. Heavy and high-speed riffings blended, hyperblasting drummings, extreme vocals, these are all things that make Mentor Grind sounds really brutal. “La Maldad” is the second full-length from this Ecuadorian deathgrinders released back in September 2016, containing 10 well-composed tracks with about 17 minutes of playing time. Listen and prepare to be grinded, this is an impressively amazing album indeed!

Hello. What inspire you guys to form Mentor Grind? Introduce us the band lineup?
Hello Fast As Fuck Zine greetings and to all the fans this media, and tell you that Mentor Grind comes up with the idea of making fast and raw music and try to build this genre in our city. The current lineup of the band is: Jorge (voice), Nixon (guitar), Saul (bass), and Jonathan (drums).
What have you released so far? Please explain futher about your latest recordings?
So far we have two works: “Tabú” / “Taboo” (2013) and “La Maldad” / “The Evil” (2016). We also participate in a split “5 Ways To The Gore” (along with: Splattered Cadavers, DxHxAx, Pussy Vaginosis, and Tear Anal) and with the collector theme we were taken into account in compiled V of the “Metal megazine Unknown Pages-publication #11”. We released a video clip of the theme the badness of the “Taboo” album: youtu.be/TD7KPeBo1AY. Lately we recorded the promotional of our new album 2019 “Matrix” video clip: youtu.be/9gOPBwje7mQ. With the same we were part of the compilation “The Sound of X (3) – International Grindcore Compilation 2018” of Portugal and the compiled Argentine Extreme Nations vol.1 with bands from 19 countries of Latin America. We are currently finishing composing the songs for the third album of the band planned for the beginning of 2019.
Please describe more about the music you played, and also the influences?
Like most bands we try to have our own sound, and the influences to mention some I can mention Terrorizer, Anal Cunt, Napalm Death (two first albums), Inhumate, national bands like Chancro Duro and Inphectus.
How do you tracks/songs get written? Did it take a lot of time to finish writing a song?
The composition varies the time, some topics have taken a month approximately and others have arisen in a matter of a few days.
What are you talking about through your lyrics?
In our lyrics we have handled some themes such as gore, taboos and social criticism and some experiences and personal anecdotes.
Do you play gigs oftenly? How does the grind scene look like in Ecuador?
We have an average of 4 concerts per year so we try to leave everything on stage, that our presentation is as brutal as possible and best of all enjoy it indistinctly from the audience’s response. The grind scene is not as you would like but I think little by little it is growing and that motivates us more to continue working and continue to contribute something to the scene.
What’s your dream for Mentor Grind?
We are happy with what we achieved and we enjoyed the small concerts very much, and we look forward to participating in festivals in other countries of Latin America and Europe and we know that we must continue working day by day.

Tremendous debut CD from this 4-piece grindcore unit, a basically new band based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “Self Destruction” comprised of 8 tracks that are shortly played (most of the tracks less than a minute), truly fast and heavy riffings, also brutal and loud sound production. About 6:45 minutes of blasting and ferocious grinding tracks that will blow your head away with rebellious message lies within their lyrics. This is for those who are into oldschool grindcore such as Terrorizer and early Napalm Death.
